Emma is a teacher, researcher, and PhD student at the University of Vermont, in the department of Community Development and Applied Economics. Her research engages with concepts of community resilience, data-driven approaches to development, and public administration, and is grounded in mixed-methods and participatory research approaches.

Emma's interests include community economic development, disaster management, collaborative governance, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and co-creation.
